1.
The differences in the styles and the ways you
can get information out to the public are different as once I thought they were
one in the same. I thought that if you put your name on a well put together piece
of writing no matter what it was on or how long a thought you were the author
of that piece.
2.
When I started to run out of ideas I turned to
the book to help re-boot my memory for some of the differences in how people
are authors and formal writing.
3.
I think it’s important to have the boundaries
and the rules to keep things in order. All though I am not against the free
speech of other people but we need to have a little order to prevent chaos. It’s
one thing to create and be recognized for it and another to share what someone
else has done. When you take someone else’s work or creation and put a little
twist or spin on it you should at least give the person who inspired you the
credit they deserve.
4.
When you can recognize you are using someone else’s
work and give them the deserved credit you can save yourself a lot of pain and suffering.
They call it plagiarism and if you don’t recognize and give the deserved credits
you can get in big trouble.
